The jambalaya was amazing!! Went to this place on a whim with my fiance and we were so happy we did. He got the bacon-wrapped pork chops which basically had no flavor - huge disappointment. The service was excellent, though. I got a cocktail - the berry one - and it tasted awful! Like berry-scented body spray. But, I talked to our waitress who was also a bartender(?) and she made a different drink for me which was one of the best I've ever tasted. Overall, I would go here again.

I was very pleasantly surprised! We went there for a late lunch in the middle of the weekday. The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. Our server was absolutely fantastic. I started to worry when the wait for our food extended that "comfortable" zone. That always seems to be a bad sign about the food for me. While the wait was long, but not excessive, the food was piping hot (or nicely chilled) and VERY tasty. I had a taco salad that I could not have been happier with. Homemade salsa. Bonus points! Good flavor to the beef and romaine lettuce rather than iceberg. My husband had the buffalo chicken salad and was pleased. The kid had a corn dog and fries. The fries were wonderfully crispy, The decor is a little...lackluster. But I didn't go there to lick the walls. And it was clean. Clean trumps frumpy decor any day! We will definitely go there again!

Having had both breakfast and lunch, I can say the quality of the food was very good as was the service. This is a quiet place to have a business lunch or just to eat by yourself. The food was tasty, hot and attractively presented.

Have been here twice and have had great service, food, and drinks. My only complaint is the inside. My wife and our two friends said it looks like they don't really know what type of restaurant it wants to be and the decoration is ehh. A lot of times the ok looking places have some great food and this is the case.

Stopped here because I had a Restraunt.com coupon. Will probably go again. I had great meal at reasonable prices. Service was very friendly but not annoying . Don't let the location or it outside apperence stop you from trying it.

Visited on Monday night, so business was pretty slow and service was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken dumpling soup, chicken Marsala, and fillet minon with amazing sweet potato fries. To top off a great meal, we ordered the creme brûlée dessert - a must have and a perfect ending to a great meal. Would definitely return.

Ate here last night, all in all it was wonderful. The atmosphere is nice, the staff was very polite and helpful. If I had any complaint it would be the menu. The menu has many choices, but all the choices have there own special name. For example, if you are looking for a hamburger, it has it's own unique name. So in reality we spent a lot of time trying to read the menu. Once we did order, no complaints after that. I ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, they were homemade and delicious. My steak dinner came with 2 sides and a salad or soup, but once again the menu doesn't say sides, it says cuddles (sides), and teasers (soup/salad). The steak was delicious perfectly cooked, and had a great flavor, the garlic mashed and grilled asparagus were fantastic as well. My wife had fried shrimp dinner (wasn't named that), and the server accidentally dropped one on the floor. We quickly were provided with a new shrimp, which we weren't even expecting. My wife had a margarita and loved them. All in all this place is great, food, service, atmosphere. I will go back over and over, eventually I will have the menu figured out and it will be a non issue. A great addition to Crown Point's restaurant choices.

EXCELLENT EVERY TIME!! I have worked my way through a very large portion of their menu and I have yet to find anything that is less than excellent. Their biscuits and gravy (and entire breakfast buffet) are some of the best I have ever had. The steak sandwich and reuben are killer, as are the spicy chicken rolls. For dinner, you cannot beat the ribs they serve here....outstanding!! I could go on and on since I had much more food there than what I mention but it would just be a repeat of what I already said. You really can't go wrong. They have something for everyone; meat, chicken, fish, salad, etc. Free bread with a selection of several different types comes with every meal. It's warm, fresh, and delicious. One thing I really like with the menu is that you can choose your side, even with the sandwich selections. It's really nice to be able to get away from the standard french fries or chips that virtually every other place makes you get. I normally sit at the bar or bar area so I'm not too familiar with experiences in the dining area. What I can tell you is the service in the bar area is great. The bar staff are some of the most efficient, friendly, and customer focused people you can find. They will get you what you need, get it right, and take care of any other items you may need or want. As for the facility, it is clean and well defined (dining area on one side, bar area on the other). They have TV's in the bar area with games or sports shows on normally. Also, the main reason we started coming here was that it is non-smoking. Obviously, if you enjoy smoking with your meal or while having drinks, you may not desire that feature but you can do what a lot of other people do that come there; step outside, have a quick smoke, and come back in. Simple. There is also a great outdoor seating area for the summer time that is covered under an awning. We first came here just to check the place out since we heard it was non smoking. We have since come here many times with friends because the food is great and the service outstanding. A MUST VISIT!!

Finally gave this place a try tonight. The decor is rather plain and the chairs are not so comfortable, but the service was stellar and the food was fantastic! Definitely a change of pace from you find on menus in other Crown Point restaurants. It was nice to have new options. I had the stuffed chicken. It was quite unlike anything I have had before - I ate every last crumb. My friend had The Debutante (also a chicken dish) and she, too, cleaned her plate. Loved the choice of side items and the warm sourdough bread. It wish it looked a little nicer inside and had some booths, but I will definitely go back for the food and service.

Tough call. Food was good. Prices were on the high side. Martinis were good. But martinis are always good. I'll go three stars. Good place with another chance to "wow" me. I'm thinking the Sunday brunch...more to follow after I get my bacon and eggs on.

I do not eat meat a lot- but this spot will make me veggies all day that have flavor! Yumm! I ordered some yesterday for pick up & as always A+
(5)Mike S.
overall it wasn't terrible but not fantastic either . Kinda reminded me of a little more upscale Wagners rip off. Food was decent but a bit over priced.

Everything was dead on great. We took my mom here for her birthday yesterday. She was extremely satisfied. The food was seasoned to perfection. We will return in near future.

Came here with the wife and in-laws on a Sunday evening. The place is split up between the bar and dining area. There were only a handful of people when we arrived. The decor was underwhelming. Lots of pictures of flames, hence the name. There are some cheesy LED candles on the walls. We ordered the sampler platter which was average. The salad was fairly small and tasted fine. I ordered the walleye but they were all out so I picked out the almond crusted tilapia and wild rice. It was very hot and good, but a little buttery. The pork chops looked good. No one was dissatisfied with their food as far as I knew. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. I would probably come here again if we happened to be in the area.

Crown Point for the most part lacks fine dining. Fahrenheit 212 is a rare exception. Great steak, fish, and unique dishes like their bruschetta goat cheese stuffed chicken breast. Nice atmosphere, great outdoor dining area. The owner is very involved. I'd recommend everyone try this place. The quality and experience is great while the prices are lower than equivalent dining locations
(5)Annette F.
The lunch specials are very affordable! Thursday is mushroom soup day, it's been very good, I think they changed it on me. The rib tips, fries and salad for 8.99 Good deal
(4)Natalie S.
I went there today with my husband. The servers were very nice. The atmosphere was pleasant. They had a special for today that was Grilled Pork Chop, which was really good (at least that's what my husband says). I had the ribs which was tender and falling off the bone. I would go again.
(4)Britt B.
I'm never disappointed when I eat here! Steaks are always cooked perfectly, the jambalaya is spot on and I can always find a delicious beer to drink. You can tell the food is made from scratch; the quality makes such a difference.

I really want to like this place. I like the interior.. It's cozy/warm and intimate. My husband and I have been here several times, and more times than not its underwhelming. We've had a variety of experiences over the years.. Everything from the server making a comparison to the grilled asparagus on my plate to my husband's penis, to a string of other odd comments to good experiences with good food. This last time we went on a Saturday night- definitely not as crowded as it used to be. Restaurant was about 1/4 full. Service was fairly quick. I ordered raspberry lemonade since I'm pregs. It tasted pretty watery but I drank it. Food- just ok. My husband got the perch which was fine. I ordered one of their specials- balsamic pork tenderloin. When I received it I was surprised that the pork was chopped into bite size pieces over rice. I ate it.. But was just ok. I have a feeling this place is going downhill..such a shame.

I've been here three times now and all have been good. Service was good, went during dinner and lunch nothing really to complain about. I've had the chicken tenders good, barbecue sauce is amazing , you must get the ribs! The boneless pork was on special but amazing flavor, garlic mashed were good and the brownie dessert was to die for!! Will go back
(4)Karen R.
Desserts (creme brulee, bread pudding, chocolate brownie) were better than major Chicago restaurants. Soup and veggie sandwich were excellent. Went with picky relatives who enjoyed the good. Will return soon.
(5)Yvonne L.
This place is terrible. The food didn't taste fresh, my drink was not right and the service was awful. We will not be going back.

For the second time I went here because of all the good reviews I have seen and once again it was a terrible experience I feel like both times I should not of had to pay for my meals I will never go back EVER! terrible service and just as bad food wouldn't ever recommend this place I would rather go to Applebee's and that's no joke congrats you have lost a good paying customer that always tips 20% plus

We popped in with a party of 15, we were seated quickly and our server Amanda was awesome. The food was okay. I would go back.
(4)Jim B.
I wish I could have reviewed the food, but we never got that far. We got to the restaurant and were seated, and after a few minutes our waitress got our drink order. We didn't see her again for 25 minutes. The place was only about 1/4 full, so I have no clue where she was all that time. We asked for the check to pay for our one glass of diet coke, it came out to over $3.00. We got that typical teenager flippant attitude when we said we were going to just go, so we walked across the lot to Eli's Golden Apple where we got a great meal for probably $30 less. We were seated, watered, and fed in under 20 minutes. I guess Fahrenheit 212 stands for getting your blood to boiling point so you'll just get up and leave without any kind of apology or visit from the manager.
(1)Erin C.
It's not what I expected, but it's good. I had a burger and fries and while it was delicious, it was nothing so exceptional that I would crave it. I'll have to give the place another chance sometime.
(4)Linda R.
Worst service I have ever experienced! Our waitress was beyond lazy and took forever to tend to us, the restaurant was not even busy! My daughters corn dog was still frozen in the inside. My friends lobster/shrimp was over cooked, he didn't even touch it! Ordered a martini and it took over 25 minutes to get it. Had to wait forever just to get a refill on my water. Beyond ridiculous!
(1)Jessica L.
The food is ok here, some things are overpriced considering it's nothing special. I like that they have an outside seating area. But every time I have gone there the service has been sooooo slow. If they weren't so slow I probably would come here more.
(3)James J.
Service was good...We spent $70 on on two entrees and an appetizer...food was sub par! Very bland and not worth the price. Manager did ask how everything was which i thought was very nice. She offered us 2 Ten dollar coupons. We will come back!
(3)Susan L.
The owner needs to take a good look at this place. Food used to be excellent. That is no longer the case. Food should be consistent no matter what day you visit. I wonder if they lost the head chef and now there is no direction in the kitchen. Menu never changes. Wait staff do the best they can, but seems like some are much more busy than others. We stopped taking friends and family there for meals and only go there for a quick drink after work now. Just not what they used to be and hope they can see that and make some changes soon. Maybe management???

I have experienced better service at a fast food place than this restaurant. My experience was indescribable. We went on a Monday night and they were having their $5 angus burger and fries as their special. We were seated right away. Our waitress Deanna came over 5 minutes later and we ordered our food within 10.After sitting an hour .our waitress said food was in window and she was bringing it right out. 15 minutes later.. still nothing. We had to get up to find the manager and she seemed surprised and said she would take care of it. Finally, after almost TWO HOURS, our food WITH appetizers came out. My boyfriend asked " so are we going to have to pay for all of this?" The waitress said " Well, Id sure hope you are." In the most shittiest tone you could possibly have. My mom had asked if we could speak to a manager and she never even came by us. We all walked out. Never received an apology, didn't offer to not charge us or anything. Well Fahrenheit, thank you for putting a bad taste in my mouth for a first time experience.

Linguine with clams...not bad...pretty great actually. This place could do so much better if they had a decent table service staff. The 2 I've had in my 5 visits are terrible. They always need to be guided. I hate suggestive selling myself.
(3)Jessica M.
Love this place!! Hands down best breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just wish it was closer to my house. The chefs are great and the owner of this place has a gem. My entire family choose to go here over anything around. I love the omelets and stuffed pork chops. Overall this place is amazing!
(5)Sandi H.
Our group ate here tonight. Our server came right away to bring us drinks..she took our order but it took a long time for the salads to arrive. After 2 bites of salad and soup, the entree was delivered. I like to eat my salad before the food comes. So while I was finishing my salad, the food was getting cold.....not good timing by the waiter and kitchen staff. I ordered the beef tips without mushrooms....well you can guess I spent more time picking them out of the tips...which were just ok. Will think twice before I'd recommend this place to someone else.
(2)Grason B.
Very good overall! I had the spicy chicken sandwich with asparagus. The asparagus was seasoned perfectly, and the sandwich was very fresh, and surprisingly very tasty! The only complaint would be the prices. It's a little expensive for the type of restaurant that it is.
(4)Jill J.
My husband and I have eaten here several times. The last time was the day of the Hog Roast, we had out of state company and we opted to sit in the dining room. We never imagined that the service would have been so poor, take so long and the food be just ordinary. I think Fahrenheit would like to think themselves a high quality restaurant but they can't always back it up. Their prices are getting ridiculous and the daily menu is starting to look pretty much a regurgitation from week to week. The atmosphere is nothing exciting and with inconsistent wait staff its hard to justify coming back. Can't remember the last time a manager came around and asked how things were going, maybe they simply just don't want to know!
(2)Virtina S.
Went there on a Monday, the special on wings and Miller Lite. The service was pretty good. The wings took a little long to cook but that's because they were actually cooked. But not the best I've had in the region.
(3)Julie L.
Just enjoyed the breakfast buffet. At $10 it's pricey, but there are a lot of options to choose from. For an additional $3 you can have an omelet made for you. Personally, I feel that a buffet should be one price and include anything that is out there. I've been at many breakfast buffets and never have I seen an omelet station as an extra charge. Now that I'm over that, I will say that the staff did an exceptional job refilling the food. I would go back but probably wouldn't get the omelet again as there are other egg options on the buffet.

Mmmmmm Rubber Fish! What you see outside is not what you see inside. Outside: signs posted on doors, window paint glaring specials like a mexican fiesta or a soccer mom's minivan. Inside: quaint dining, nice bar, nice art on walls. So why the awful window paint? It gives a total misconception of what you're going to experience inside. So we went there for an early dinner and a martini or two. Started off "okay" with the Ahi Tuna appetizer. Of the 5 strips i received, only 2 were actually seared on the outside and nicely rare on the inside. The other 3 may as well have been cooked all the way through as they were not even close to rare. They did come with a nice mayo-ish sauce but was still paired with some very bland coleslaw. Sticking with seafood I got the Salmon. Mistake. I am almost positive that it was microwaved. It was not flaky, it was not pink, it was disgusting and super dry. The skin was wilted and had condensation on it, something you might see from a microwaved piece of fish. It did however come with some tasty wild rice and grilled asparagus. After I expressed that it was no good I was offered a new piece, but considering how things went so far I respectfully declined. So I paid $20 for a cup of rice and 4 pieces of asparagus... No thanks. UPDATE: I went there for breakfast. Mimosa's were delicious and cheap. Eggs benedict was good except for the really thin hollandaise sauce. from 2 star to 3 star... things are looking up...

I ate at Fahrenheit 212 while visiting family, and we really enjoyed our experience. We all cleaned our plates, which is always a good sign. The outdoor patio was nice - A bit small, but they made good use of the space out there. Good service, great food, even better drinks!

My fiance and I went here twice. First time we actually made reservations because it was a Saturday night and we were going to be there around 730-8. So I made reservations for 8pm. We walked in at 755 and were told it would be a 35-40 minute wait. What's the point of making reservations then? We ended up walking out and heading down the street to Asparagus. Second time we went there, we got there about 7. Had the last table there. It took the waitress probably 10 minutes to come out to the table to introduce herself. She felt is was necessary as she was explaining the specials that we needed to hear about her personal life also. I'm sorry, I'm here to eat, not be your therapist. We each ordered drinks. I had a mango daiquiri and my fiance had a beer. 10 minutes later she brought out my daiquiri, but not his beer. It took another 5 minutes to get his beer. Once the rest of our party arrived, we ordered the appetizer. We ordered the sampler plate, which was actually pretty decent. Then it took another 15 minutes after we were finished to get another drink and have her clear the plate off our table. For dinner, my fiance had the all you can eat lake perch and I had some sort of chicken pasta (obviously not that memorable). My pasta was barely warm and tasted not so hot. My fiance had multiple bones in his fish, but considering he was paying for all you can eat, he decided to get a second helping just to get his money's worth (if he payed for it, he'll eat it, regardless of how bad it is). He told the waitress he wanted another serving. 20 minutes later, we got the bill but he still had not gotten his lake perch. And naturally she had added on a 20% gratuity to the bill prior to giving it to us even though there were only 3 people and we had 2 separate checks. I am all about giving a fantastic tip, if the service you do deserves it, however if you suck at your job, i'm probably only giving you 10%. Needless to say, we won't be going back. Its not worth it at all. Don't waste your time.

The decor leaves you feeling like you are about to be the joke of a Candid Camera episode! The food was decent, not great but decent! for the prices they charge for the good expected a little better!
(3)Tony F.
Even though it was very busy, the wait staff kept a high level of attentiveness. The food came promptly, and was cooked perfectly! By far the best restaurant in Crown Point!
(5)Courtney E.
We went for lunch today, just hoping to grab a quick bite close to home with minimal wait....boy....did we luck out! This place just opened, staff is very friendly and the open atmosphere is great too. There is a bar and a restaurant. We just got sandwiches for lunch, and they were REALLY GOOD! I had a grilled veggie sammy with steamed broccoli and chicken noodle soup (home made) I am on Weight watchers, and it was w/in my plan! Garry had a grilled chicken wrapper with fries and soup. The fries were so crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside:) (mind you....the total was under $20) This is more reasonable then Panera Bread....and SO much better! The dinner menu looked great too, we will go back soon to try that out. Go and try them out and help them stay in business!
